beginners guide to buying 2nd hand car?
hi im new to this but want to buy a 2nd hand car
wheres the best place to buy one?
what questions should you ask?
what documents do you need?
what do you need to look for (if your not mechanical in any way!! how do you tell its a good car?)
im interested in a peugot 206 or ford ka something like that. i havent got that much money to spend may £1000 - £1500
we have a Suzuki Wagon R Y-Reg that we want rid off as the engines bust, could we part exchange it for something?
ive seen peugots on ebay for £1000 odd but obviously id rather go somewhere local and look at it/test drive it first
please help? thanks

I buy and sell cars and trucks for a living. I want the best for my customers, so I sell almost exclusively, vehicles made in Japan. (Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, etc.) These cars, if the oil is changed regularly, are good for well over 200,000 miles (sorry, I don't do Kilometers). When you find one you feel good about, take it to your mechanic and have him check it over. Anything he finds can be used to bargain the price down a bit. Don't fall in love with a car you haven't bought. Buy from a private individual for the best price. Go to the library and look up book price, taking into account options and mileage (here in America we have N.A.D.A. or Kelley Blue book. I don't know what you Brits have) - Ray
